Bristol Kid Photo Shoot

I met her when I was 12. Little did I know that on that day in 1989 that I would begin a friendship with a girl that would play a vital part in my future. We were BFF's, then X-BFF's then BFF's again, now I simply accept her as my close confidant, non-judgmental, unconditional loving, sister from another mister. Her name is Maggie. I often refer to her as Mags, or "the Magsta". Being friends with Mags has changed my life profoundly. She's the reason why I moved to GA, faced my fears in being a single mom to Kendell and spoke highly of the man that I would later refer to as my husband, Ray. We've seen each other thru countless obstacles and have witnessed miracles in each other's lives. Her three miracles: Elaina, Megan and Matthew and my two miracles: Kendell and Brianna. Our kids love each other greatly and it was during this last photo shoot that it really occurred to me that they too are building friendships that are going to last them a life time such as Mags and I have. I had so much fun being able to spend one on one time with each one of the kids. It's a rare occasion that I can get into their little minds and find out more about the little people that they are. It also makes me laugh a little when I recognize the attributes they've inherited from their wonderful mother.
