I thoroughly enjoy photographing couples that are as in love as much as Ryan and Jennifer are. Jennifer is one of the coolest girls I know. I had the privilege of working with her for some time and she and I got to know each other pretty well. After her first day at work, I knew she was a very smart, motivated, confident woman who knows how to get things done when they need to get done. When she hits the pavement she hits it running in her 3-4 inch high heels and does it in style. I envy Jennifer because in all of my life, I've never been able to walk confidently in high heels but she makes it look so easy it makes me want to try, though I haven't yet.
There are two adornments that always stick out in my mind when I remember Jennifer's work cubicle. One, is a stuffed Pascal toy from Tangled her favorite Disney movie. The toy was given to her by her brother (one of her favorite men) who is also responsible for introducing Jennifer to Ryan (his best friend). The second, is the picture on her computer desk top of she and Ryan sitting in front of a water fountain (her favorite main man). Jennifer is very close to the people that she loves. She shares stories about her mom's great talent at creating clothes from her own design, without patterns, of which I am amazed! She also talks about her friends back home in Mexico and all the good times they've shared throughout the years but there's never any doubt as to the person that is in the fore front of Jennifer's mind, Ryan.
I was so intrigued and in awe to hear of all the different limits of endurance that Ryan has had to endure over the last year and a half. Ryan's hard work and shear will and desire to be in special forces has required much of him including being separated from the woman that he loves for weeks at a time. However, whenever he is given the time to get away you're certain to find him spending every possible moment with Jennifer. It's so easy to see how much love and adoration Ryan and Jennifer have for one another, it's like they haven't spent a single day apart.
Though I haven't worked with Jennifer in many months now, there's a few things I'm certain that she still does: 1. She will always keep you on your toes wondering what kind of shoes she'll be wearing on any given day. 2. She will always be willing to help, when help is needed 3. She will laugh at least 3 really good times throughout the day. And 4. Jennifer will light up a room with her beautiful smile when the time finally arrives for her to leave to see her "boo".
Ryan and Jennifer's love inspires me as a wife and as a photographer and I look forward to bearing witness to their nuptials next weekend! I wish them nothing but pure joy and happiness.
Although Ryan is trained to be tough, he's so gentle and warm with Jennifer...... it's so beautiful to see.....
