Random Facts

Kids are back to school and you could hear a pin drop in my home.

I figured it's time for our monthly Random Facts and found some good ones today!

1.  Chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying - I'm trying this one tonight!

2. A cockroach can live several weeks with it's head cut off.  Really?  Seriously? I don't know how TRUE this one is but if it's true, that is some freaky deaky flaw of physical death of roach!

3. Most lipstick contains fish scales - the ingredient is known as "pearl essence" it's also found in nail polish.  It's what causes that shimmery appeal of color. Interesting.

4.  12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents daily.  Hmmmm... maybe?

And because we're back to school our final Random Fact for this month...

5. Everyone's favorite choice of art medium is the crayon.  By the time a child turns 10 they would have worn down about 730 crayons.

Happy back to school days!
